Acescale

Acescale is a lizardfolk alchemist and gambler from a small settlement in the swamps of Latazaro. He has a practical alchemist’s skill set, a gambler’s appetite for risk, and occasional glimpses of possible twists of fate that gave him an edge at cards. Those instincts made him bold, but not always cautious. At times, restless for better stakes than his home could offer, he would travel several days to Lunacosta, a coastal market town where the inns offered more lively games.

On one of these journeys, leaving Lunacosta late on a moonless autumn night with an unusually heavy purse of winnings, goblin raiders ambushed him on the road, clubbed him unconscious, and carried him to Perdoli Manor, where he became one of the Labyrinth Prisoners.

After escaping the manor, though Acescale never gave up gambling, he also began to invest in alchemical work.
