After Robin addresses the people of Asineau, Celyn finishes talking to the horses, setting a search for a girl in motion, and notices El watching him. He looks back with curiosity. El’s stare is fascinated rather than hostile: they have been watching magic at work.

“So controlled. My miracles shake with chaos…” El says, beginning to turn away.

“The miracle there is of the past, not today,” Celyn replies. He is willing to explain further if El asks, wanting them to understand that this magic is different from the miracles he performs now.

El studies him, then gently points toward Viepuck, who is starting to talk to a young girl. When Celyn looks back, El has retreated to the temple.
