Bartoz was the master smith and informal quartermaster of Torvaine Watch. When the cursed Serpentine Dagger surfaced, temple steward Wulfram brought it to Bartoz, who wanted to destroy it immediately, suggesting he melt it in his forge. Wulfram preferred to send it to a temple for examination, and got his way, eventually leading to Sir Einrik Arpaad corruption under the weapon’s malign influence, and Bartoz’s death at his commander’s hand. He rose again as an undead, clinging to the forge in a grim echo of the responsibility he refused to abandon, until the Addermarch Mercenaries cut him down and put him permanently to rest.

- Apr 01, 1715 DR: Mortally wounded Sir Einrik while defending Torvaine Watch, and fell in the smithy, only to rise again as an undead.
- Apr 28, 1715 DR: Undead remains defeated by Fazoth de Brune, Drou, and Yvan Greenrabbit during the watch’s liberation.
