Govir

Govir is a Dunmari scholar and the Master of Records at the Tokra Archives. Devout and single-minded, he is gathering accounts of the victories and miracles which he believes shows that the gods have upheld and supported the Nayan Dynasty. He holds Samraat Nayan Yarad in particular esteem, seeing in his victories evidence of divine favor.
His planned work centers on five such deliverances: the Northern War, the expulsion of the Fraternity of the Empty Moon from Tokra, the Battle of Shrevandurg, the Defeat of the Plague Trees, and the Summer of Red Storms. He is particularly interested in finding accounts from soldiers, including surviving veterans, that report how the presence of Aagir in battle or the mercy of Jeevali when wounded felt to them, personally.
In DR 1748, letters and a map concerning the expulsion of the Fraternity of the Empty Moon from Tokra, uncovered by his colleague Hada, led Govir to investigate ruined fortifications north of Tokra, seeking signs of the gods’ influence in the protection against the madness of Pandemonium reported by eyewitnesses. Members of the Fraternity of the Empty Moon followed him back to the Archives, stole the map, and kidnapped him to explain its secrets. During a month of captivity, he was afflicted with lycanthropy and feared he had killed Hada while transformed.
The Dunmar Fellowship rescued Govir on Jul 02, 1748 DR, and Riswynn cured his lycanthropy that evening. Returning to the Archives, he found neglected and misfiled records that might have warned of the Fraternity’s return. At the Fellowship’s urging, Ardan entrusted him with putting the records in order and provided funds for additional scribes on Jul 09, 1748 DR.
Over the next few months, Govir aided the Dunmar Fellowship through his knowledge of the Archives, tracing the Cloak of Rainbows in the records of the Aagir Mystai and finding the poem needed to free Hralgar.
Sura also asked Govir to search the records for signs of Agata’s influence on Dunmari history.
