Dao

🔈 (DOW)

Dao are powerful native beings of the Elemental Plane of Earth, commonly described as stone-skinned miners and jewelers with extensive subterranean domains. Many rumors circulate about these mysterious creatures: they are haughty miners who adorn themselves with gemstones and fine metals; they capture mortals to force them to work in dark subterranean mines on their native plane; they etch their memories into crystal and never forget anything they are told; they prize fine stonework and metalwork and will grant boons to mortals who gift them impressive artistry; that they prize petrified roc eggs and seek them as treasures.

But the truth of these, and other stranger rumors, is not known.
