Devas are a kind of celestial, rarely encountered but generally understood as angelic messengers and agents of divine or spiritual powers.

A deva’s appearance and bearing often reflect the power it serves. While many accounts from Mos Numena sources describe devas in the familiar language of shining humanoid angels, other accounts suggest stranger forms.

Stories occasionally connect devas with falling stars or celestial meteors, suggesting that at least some devas reach the Material Plane through violent or imperfect passages between realms, though few understand the metaphysical details of such violent passage.
