- A forest in the Central Highlands
The original elvish name for the great forest on the west side of the Sentinel Range. Derived from the Elvish for “home of the first gods.”
Within the Crimson Forest and Elderwood, broad low foothills have mild, predominantly rainy winters and seasonally drier summers, though with persistent summer mist and moisture, keeping them lush beside dry valleys. Farther north and on higher slopes, winters become colder and snow lasts longer.
