The Guild of Chalyte Workers is a formal association representing workers in Chardon’s chalyte refining trade, emerging out of the chalyte reforms caused by the defeat of Fausto, the Eightfold Flame riots, and the opening of the chalyte trade in the Chataan Mountains.
The Guild regulates who is allowed to work in the chalyte refining trade, as well as the quality and standards for processed chalyte crystal and powder, based on a legal requirement that only Guild-approved workers can work in the refineries managed by the Chalyte Refining Corporation. The Chalyte Refining Corporation both has a legal monopoly on the sale of refined chalyte, and is partially controlled by the Guild itself.
