The Patelios dynasty is one of the four major oligarch families that controls Chardon’s chalyte trade. Historically the second most prominent, after the Auratan Family, the current generation of leaders of the family is highly ambitious and eager to take advantage of fragmentation and bitterness among branches of the Auratan Family to expand their influence.
They have invested heavily in refinery operations in Chardon, rapidly expanding the fraction of refined ore controlled by them, though some wonder about the source of the funds to support this seemingly endless expansion.
