Radomir
🔈 (ra-duh-MEER)
Radomir is an Urskan man who is principally notable for having found a strange piece of jade on the edge of a vast glacier in the Yengorza Mountains. He carried this item for several years, but it haunted his dreams, and eventually he fled Ursk, looking for a way to destroy it. After many years of travel, the tales of which are largely lost, he ended up back in Ursk. By DR 1749, Radomir was living alone near a snowy forest village, in poor health and under the watch of the Rodnya Voknaz, who had taken the jade from him. He had little contact with anyone, although his sister Yelena sometimes brought medicine.
His ultimate fate is unknown. One tale of his adventures is recorded below.
Safri’s Tale of Radomir
Safri, a Deno’qai druid and sage living in the northern Sentinels, spoke of Radomir to Delwath, who recorded this tale. She said that 10 or 15 years ago, in the DR 1730s, she met a strange man. He was maybe 25 at the time, from somewhere faraway to the east, fleeing demons, he said. He spoke halting Common, with a strange accent, and said his home was called Ursk. He had fled, running a long way across empty plains and over the mountains, trying to outrun the voices in his dreams. He had found a strange piece of jade, he said, a mysterious and clearly magical object, in the ice. Soon after he found it, he began having terrible dreams. He believed the jade spoke to him, taunted him, and he wanted to destroy it. He asked about ways to destroy powerful artifacts. The full tale is his to tell, Safri said, and she did not know his ultimate fate.
