Jacopo Marcelli

Died in the Perdoli Manor

Jacopo Marcelli was a pirate captain, active in Western Cymea in the early DR 1700s. In life, Jacopo loved Petrona, who urged him to return safely and abandon the pirate life. He died in a naval raid on a pirate hideout under the Perdoli Manor, without learning whether she had escaped to safety, and his ghost remained bound to the bedroom.

When Grimstone occupied Perdoli Manor, Jacopo’s ghost served as a useful guard, kept under Grimstone’s control by false promises. On October 18th, 1748, Gaudin and the Labyrinth Prisoners used magic to take Petrona’s appearance, convincing Jacopo that Grimstone had lied to him. The sight of his lost love softened Jacopo: he refused to keep guarding the way below, and faded away.
