Illius is a merfolk scout. In DR 1747, they came to Hamri as part of an expedition sent to recover a stolen drop of the Sentient Ocean, and were the sole survivor after the expedition was attacked by water elementals.

Aided by Trok, Wazir, and Ryu, Illius recovered the drop of the Sentient Ocean; after the recovery, Illius swallowed the drop of the Sentient Ocean as a means of returning home, then swam away from Hamri toward the Endless Ocean.
