Mount Nera
🔈 (mount NEH-rah)
- A mountain in Chardon, the Chardonian Empire, Greater Chardon
Mount Nera is a large, presumably extinct volcano, with a conic summit of basalt and obsidian, rumored to be deeply magical. It sits on the north bank of the Chasa River, looming over the city of Chardon, and is one of the most prominent landmarks in the city.
A prominent spur of the mountain runs south from the summit to nearly the course of the Chasa, and is a major feature of the North Bank. This spur was extensively fortified during the Blood Years, to defend Chardon from hobgoblin attacks, though most of these fortifications are no longer regularly manned.
