🔈 (zah-VYEHR)

A childhood friend of Kenzo’s, Xavier lost his father to a refinery accident and was drawn into the chalyte trade at a young age to supplement the income his family got from mending and piece-work sewing. A street tough from his youth, he likes brawling a little too much, as it makes him feel strong and important.

He lives with his mother, Francisca, and sister, Adina, in a small apartment near the Foundry Market. Like many of the dwellings in the Chalyte Levels, it is a small, cramped place, in a building that once housed a smithy but now has been converted to tenements. Xavier and his family live in a small room with a sleeping area with two straw mats, and a hearth, and not much more. A few stools and a low bench by the wall provide seating; a chest pushed under the bench stores the family’s few possessions, mostly sewing material. There is only a single small window, with wooden shutters.

During the Chardon Chalyte Riots, Xavier served as hired muscle for the Eightfold Flame. He helped Kenzo and the Dunmar Fellowship connect with Eightfold Flame leaders, introducing them to Andros and other resistance leaders at The Cackling Swan.
