Jaeson

Jaeson is a somewhat shady cliffside resident of the North Cliffs, across the sheltered bay from Hamri. He is a neighbor and occasional associate of Ryu, and also knows Trok from the same small cliffside community. He keeps mostly to himself, but trades in rumors and small favors, especially when Ryu can pay him in fish. Rumors claim he is also an occasional gatza dealer and smuggler.

In DR 1747, Ryu and Trok questioned Jaeson while investigating the recent occupant of Airion’s ruined tower in the North Cliffs, eventually leading to a worn older man later revealed as Azar the Lost, who had been using the tower, smoking gatza, and asking around about lead.

Later that year, Jaeson interrupted Ander’s reunion with Ryu at Ryu’s cliff tower with a rumor that a beast was killing lizardfolk near Eskorola and demanding gatza. In his typical somewhat-dubious fashion, he framed the danger as a chance for Ryu to profit from the tribute, or at least corner the local gatza trade.
