Samraat of Dunmar (DR 1729 - DR 1740)

Nayan Marathu was the samraat of Dunmar from DR 1729 until his death in DR 1740. Elevated to rule after the Nayan Succession Crisis as a caretaker intended to restore unity between the traditional, largely nomadic eastern parts of Dunmar and the more settled west, he revived the traveling royal court, organized a broad census extending into eastern Dunmar, and proposed a new more central capital between Tokra and Darba. Sura was widely seen as his intended successor.

After Sura’s disappearance, Marathu personally led the search for her and was killed in an orc ambush. He was succeeded by Nayan Karnas.
