Lyrannis of Aquilona was an influential cosmological philosopher and natural historian. She wrote extensively on elemental beings, especially genies, but is best known for On Elemental Forms, in which she argues that creatures with a pure elemental essence are overwhelmingly associated with Fire, Water, Earth, or Air.
Her work is frequently cited in debates over the number and nature of the Energy Realms, and remains one of the premier sources of information on elementals.
