Emyr of Tafolwern

Emyr of Tafolwern was a Tyrwinghan planar geographer and cosmological writer, working in the DR 1600s. He is widely recognized as one of the leading post-Great War critics of the standard scholarly accounts of planar geography.

He is best known for his treatise On Hidden Doors, a polemic about temporary planar connections, in which Emyr argued against standard orthodox accounts of Planar Connections. Instead, he argued that elemental vortexes, fey crossings, and similar events belong to a wider class of temporary planar connections shaped by planar drift, which he called planar upwellings.

He also was a prominent critic of the Standard Multiversal Model conception of Echo Realms, criticizing the idea of a source and reflected hierarchy.
