On Elemental Forms is the seminal work of the cosmological philosopher Lyrannis of Aquilona. The work catalogs folklore, myth, and observation concerning elemental beings, with particular attention to the sentient and powerful genies. Lyrannis uses this evidence to argue that creatures with a pure elemental essence are overwhelmingly associated with Fire, Water, Earth, or Air.
